the joint

The Joint is a clothing company based out of Somerville, Massachusetts with a lot of moxie, gumption, and elbow greased pizzazz run by people that have all the answers in life but just haven’t been asked the right questions yet.  All designs start out as a nightmare.  The dream is then interpreted by an eight year old girl with a book on symbolism.  The interpretation is then communicated to a chimpanzee with a learning disability through a mix of sign language and drumbeats.  The chimpanzee, who goes by the name of Gordon, sketches what he is told in one of many crude mediums such as a burnt stick or his own feces on his finger.  The sketch is then digitally scanned and then distorted through photo editing until it produces an image that makes pregnant mothers vomit slightly in the back of their throat.  This final design is put on a t-shirt and sold for $20. Some of the proceeds may go towards a new pair of pants for Gordon.  We haven’t really made our mind up on that yet.
